Gallery-represented visual artist based in Aldinga Beach in Kaurna Country. Patrick's art draws inspiration from and attention to the beauty and sentience of the natural world. He paints beguiling abstracts inspired by the colours and markings in trees or rocks, as well as thickly textured landscapes and seascapes. Patrick’s artworks explore themes of memory and healing within nature or within ourselves, partly fuelled by his 2009 survival of a large brain tumour. Hidden within his paintings are subtly embedded animal, bird or human forms, and his artworks exhort us to see nature as alive and in constant dialogue with those who resonate with deep connection.
Patrick's Australian works were first exhibited in Wellington Gallery in Sydney, before his move to Adelaide in March 2020, since which time his work has been in many solo and group exhibitions in South Australia. His abstract works are represented in SA by Ex Animo Art Gallery in Adelaide, and his landscapes and seascapes are available through Artworx Gallery in Goolwa or by direct contact with Patrick.
